Inside the Modern Family Office: sometimes the best money move is closing the laptop and getting in the car.
Quick one this week, and on purpose.
Last week I made the case that investing in yourself is the highest-return move you'll ever make. Travel. Rest. Time with your people.
So I'm not about to write you a full newsletter from the RV and then tell you to go take your break. That'd make me a hypocrite.
This is a postcard, not an issue.
We're in Durango, the whole crew, and we're deep in it. We did some shopping yesterday. Watching the boys spend their own money now is a completely different show than it used to be. Funny, revealing, a little proud-making. There's a real lesson in how they handled it, so I'm saving that story for next week.
Here's how the rest of the trip shakes out:
Today. Mesa Verde National Park.
Tomorrow. The train up to Silverton.
Thursday. White water rafting.
Friday. We point the RV back toward Iowa and start the long road home.
That's the week. No stats, no homework, no "your move." Just a family doing the exact thing this newsletter keeps telling you to do.
Back next Tuesday with a full issue, the boys-and-their-money story, and all the pictures. I'm coming home with a camera roll full of them.
Go find your version of this.
See you next week.
